New parks created to help fight local flooding opened this week.
On Monday 27 June, 40 people including Cllr Peray Ahmet, cabinet member for environment, attended the opening of the Priory Road Rainscapes, three green spaces designed to soak up water when it rains, and help clean up the River Moselle.
The guests were taken on a short guided walk of the three new fields, followed by an official opening of the park at Rectory Gardens, where Councillor Ahmet untied a red ribbon.
