Singer and songwriter Carl Leroy is releasing his debut single Grenfell (We won’t fall) as part of a charity project ahead of the first anniversary of the Grenfell fire tragedy.

The Enfield singer has worked in collaboration with Paul Rumbol of UK based Brazilian band Viramundo and dance instructor Liliana Martins who was personally affected by the tragedy.

The song is an expression of Carl’s personal experience helping with the Grenfell relief efforts right after the fire and Liliana’s journey with the system and charities one year on. Moulded with Paul’s sensitive music arrangement, the song celebrates the strength and perseverance of the affected while they wait for justice.

The proceeds from this song are aimed for charities working with the Grenfell community like the Harrow Club and Latymer Community Church. These two charities that were key centres for coordinating volunteers and offering support to those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire on June 14, 2017.

The primary aim of the Harrow Club W10 is to provide local young people with accessible and high quality opportunities, enabling them to maximise their life chances and to enhance their personal development hence helping to shape their future to come. Latymer Community Church’s Eden team (Eden Ladbroke Grove) works with local young people encouraging them to make positive life choices.

The song is available to download from grenfellsong.com, iTunes and various online platforms.
