Young people to discuss issues and challenges they have to face in society at a conference.

The Enfield Methodist Circuit Youth Ministry is organising a one-day event called “Real Life Youth Conference” at Edmonton Methodist Church in Fore Street, Edmonton, at 10am on Saturday.

The topics at the conference include finance, violent crime and relationships.

Gabriel Dedji, chairman of Enfield Methodist Circuit Youth Ministry, said: “Out of a series of meetings that discussed and debated several topics.

“We felt that young people needed a platform, not only to find solutions to some of the issues raised by the topics, but also to engage the community to help us.

“We also felt that the curiosity of the young and the wisdom of the older generations was a good way of doing this.

“There will be specialist panellists from across the generation gaps responding to audience questions, along with other engaging activities.

“Entirely organised by young people, we want to show that we are also capable of leading on issues that affects us.”
