The roar of laughter could be heard from the audience at a charity comedy gig which raised more than £9,000 for a children’s hospice.

Comedians Jimmy James Jones, Esther Monito, Troy Hawke and Prince Abdi entertained 100 guests at the Southgate Club in Chase Side, Enfield, on Friday, September 21.

All proceeds from the event which was sponsored by BNI Alliance will go to Haven House Children’s Hospice.

The night included an auction which raised £1,000 for the hospice in High Road, Woodford Green.

Nathan Ramsden, North London fundraising executive at Haven House, said: “We are very grateful to BNI Alliance for hosting such a brilliant comedy night and for all the amazing acts who took part.

“The night raised a fantastic amount for our hospice and will help us care for more life-limited children and their families.

“BNI Alliance have been wonderful supporters of Haven House since 2016 and we hope more groups and businesses in North London will follow their lead and get involved with our work.”
