A primary school has raised nearly £500 for charity during events commemorating the First World War.
For the last few weeks, every class at the George Spicer Primary School in Southbury Road, Enfield, has created art work to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1.
The children were inspired by the poem "In Flanders Field" with each year group using the image of the poppy for their art.
On Monday this week, all 810 pupils came to school dressed in red, white and blue to fundraise for the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
A total of £483.43 was raised for these charities - further information can be found here www.redwhiteblueday.co.uk
