A 77-year-old woman is in a critical condition after she was hit by a car.

Police were called to Totteridge Road, near Freezywater, Enfield, after reports of a car in a collision with a pedestrian, at 3.10pm yesterday.

The driver of the car involved, a black Kia Sportage, did stop at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

The woman was rushed to a hospital in east London by the London Ambulance Service with “serious injuries”.

The victim’s family is aware.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident but police are appealing for witnesses and information.
