Would-be thieves fled a property after being disturbed by an alarm.
Police are trying to trace two suspects after an attempted break in at around 5am in Vicarage Lane, Kings Langley yesterday.
The intruders first tried to get into a car parked on a driveway before trying to gain entry to a property via a rear gate.
An alarm sounded and the pair ran away.
The first offender is described as a man, around 6ft tall and wearing blue jeans, a dark hoodie and grey beanie hat.
The second offender is described as being around 5ft 10in tall and possibly a female, wearing dark trousers and a light beige hooded coat.
