A 25-year-old man remains critically ill after being stabbed during a “horrific” fight.

Met Police have stepped up their witness appeal after Dominic Alexander from Enfield was seriously injured during a dispute in Green Street, Enfield, on February 26 at around 00.40am.

Emergency services discovered Mr Alexander at the scene with stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and his family were informed.

Three men aged 24, 26 and 27 were arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to a north London police station.

They have been bailed until late March.

Police believe Mr Alexander was attacked following an earlier incident near the Sporting Green Public House at Central Parade.

Detective Chief Inspector John Massey from the Homicide and Major Crime Command said: “We would also appeal for anyone who saw anything take place shortly after half past midnight on Monday night into Tuesday morning at or near to Central Parade, or saw any arguments earlier in the evening inside the Sporting Green pub, to come forward as soon as possible.

"This was a horrific attack on a young man who has been left with very serious injuries and is fighting for his life in hospital. If you know anything, please contact us."
