An announcement regarding Watford’s rearranged Premier League fixtures is expected this week and it is likely one of the games will be played prior to their FA Cup semi-final against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Watford Observer understands.

The Hornets’ home match with Southampton already had to be moved after Javi Gracia’s men made it through the quarter-finals, but following Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace a new date also needs to be found for the Premier League fixture against Fulham at Vicarage Road, which was originally scheduled for semi-final weekend on Saturday, April 6.

Watford currently have only one game scheduled to be played before the semi-final – at Manchester United on Saturday, March 30 – but we have been told it is probable one of the rearranged matches will be fitted in before the Hornets face Wolves for a place in the FA Cup final.

Wolves are already due to have a midweek game before the semi-final after their Premier League clash against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men, originally due to be played on April 6, was switched to Tuesday, April 2 after both clubs were drawn against each other in the sixth round, a tie Nuno Espirito Santo’s side won 2-1 on Saturday.
