A man charged with inflicting life-changing injuries on a teenager using a knife pleaded not guilty in court today.
Che Ambe, 21, of Caractacus Cottage View, Watford, appeared before St Albans Crown Court this morning to answer a charge of grievous bodily harm in relation to an incident in Long Elms, Abbots Langley, on February 10.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were called to the scene that evening where an 18-year-old man had been attacked with a knife.
Two men were arrested.
Mr Ambe appeared via video link from HMP Bedford this morning where he is on remand, wearing a grey Puma top.
He pleaded not guilty to one count of grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of having a knife in public on the night of the attack.
The 21-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of Class A drugs, namely cocaine and MDMA.
The judge presiding ordered a trial be brought for Mr Ambe’s case commencing the week beginning July 8.
The defendant was remanded back into custody.
