A woman has been murdered on the street.
Police were called to Brookbank, Turkey Street in Enfield at 5.49pm yesterday, April 7 by London Ambulance Service.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, was found injured in the street and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Met officers have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
He was arrested nearby the scene and has been taken to a North London police station.
Next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination and formal identification will take place in due course.
A police cordon remains in place and officers will be in the area while initial investigations are carried out.
Residents are encouraged to speak with officers if they have any information which could help enquiries, or if they have any concerns.
