Centreforce883 in Pixel Business Centre, Waltham Abbey, kicked off the show ‘Balls to Cancer’ on Saturday, April 13 from 12pm with a variety of guest interviews.

DJ’s Pasha, Master Pasha, Max Fernandez, Peter P who hosted the show spoke to the Cockney Rejects, Majestic and Wide Boys during the non-stop live show.

Exclusive items were auctioned for the cause, including a signed boxing glove by Anthony Joshua, a signed West Ham shirt and Jo Malone candles.

Founder of Centreforce Radio, Andy Swallow, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who donated to Balls to Cancer from listeners to local businesses who contributed to such a worthy cause.

“We smashed our £5K target, and with everything included, we should hit £6K and if this can help someone’s fight against cancer then we are proud to be making a difference.”

A family fun day also took place on the premises where face painting, dog training with Britannia K9 Security and a raffle was held.

“The fun day was a huge success and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time out to attend, we were overwhelmed with the turn out,” added Mr Swallow. “We are the people’s station and charity and our listeners are our priority and we’ll be looking to do more charity events throughout the year.”
