Sadly, we will not have the best weather this year. Saturday (May 25) is set to be relatively warm and sunny. But the forecast for Sunday (May 26) and Monday (May 27) appears to be rainy and cloudy. 

So it's best to plan any outdoor activities for Saturday, while Sunday and Monday may be better suited to indoor activities.

1. Shalamar coming to Watford Colosseum

Some 35 years after their major chart breakthrough, the R&B group will be coming to Watford Colosseum. Expect to hear all the big hits and more, including There It Is, I Can Make You Feel Good, Make That Move, and A Night To Remember.

2. Bird’s Nest Billy show, Hemel Hempstead

Billy is a little boy with a big brother called Bo. They both have big hair. Bird’s nest hair! One day, when his big brother is at school and Billy has no-one to play with, a magical bird chirps out of his big, curly, bird’s nest hair. The bird grants him three wishes.

3. Weird and wonderful creatures at St Albans Museum

Following a period of intense and urgent conservation, a collection of fascinating animal and plant specimens preserved in fluid go on display in this new exhibition.

The Pickling Project explores a previously unknown and neglected part of St Albans Museums’ collection, and shines a light on the processes taken to look after the natural history collection.

Discover weird and wonderful creatures and learn more about how this important collection was saved from the brink.

4. Spring Special at Willows Activity Farm, St Albans

This year’s Spring Special will see the return of the sheep shearing demonstrations with Tuck the Shepherd, as he gets rid of all the extra woolly weight before the hotter months hit.

There will be a whole host of other activities, including the Sheep Show, and a Peter Rabbit and Friends ‘Find and Seek’ in the garden.

5. Decorative Salvage and Vintage Fair, Knebworth

6. Sukshinder Shinda Live at Watford Palace Theatre

Sukshinder Shinda is a Punjabi award-winning producer and singer. He has worked on over 200 albums and is highly regarded as the crown prince of British Bhangra.

As Sikhs around the world celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji, the founder of the Sikh faith, as well as the festival of Vaisakhi, Sukhshinder Shinda will be performing at a unique cultand religious event at Watford Palace Theatre.

7. Happy Birthday to intu Watford Family Club, Watford

9. Live jazz at The Maltings Arts Theatre, St Albans

The fabulous Italian-American swing pianist Sportiello joins Green and Brown for an evening of live jazz.

ossano was born in Vigevano, Italy, and graduated in classical piano aged only 16. Having transferred his allegiance to jazz, he became known as an exponent of the stride style and was compared to the late Ralph Sutton and Dave McKenna.
