An internationally acclaimed designer is holding a jewellery making class at Forty Hall.

Award-winning designer Abby Hook will lead an introductory jewellery making class on Saturday, June 15, between 10am and 4pm. This class starts with becoming familiar with the tools, what they are used for and the best way to hold them as well as a few safety points. You can then dive straight in to making, firstly creating a pair of ear wires and then moving on to the butterfly wing earrings, a deceptively simple design with which you will look at binding and coiling a frame with thinner wire. Makers will then move on to the orbital pendant, which is a reversible design where you will learn to form closed spirals and weave with wire. Choose from copper or silver plated wire for your jewellery.
