A man has died following a crash between two cars on the M25 last night.

Emergency services were called to junctions 26 and 25 anti-clockwise between Enfield and Waltham Abbey at 6:45pm on Wednesday, July 31.

Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service attended this scene, where the man, a pedestrian who suffered serious injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Work is currently being carried out to identify the man’s identity.

One lane on the M25 but was completely gridlocked stopped on both carriageways while police investigated.

An air ambulance was seen landing in a nearby field shortly after 7pm.

The drivers of the two vehicles involved in the collision both stopped at the scene and are assisting police with their enquiries.

No one else involved suffered any injuries and no arrests have been made.
