Met Police has released an image of a motorcyclist it would like to speak to after a mother and child were involved in a hit-and-run.

The crash happened at 2.15pm outside Harringay Green Lanes station in Harringay.

A nine-year-old girl and her mother, 42, were hit by a motorbike

Both were taken to hospital. Their injuries were deemed not life threatening.

The motorbike did not stop at the scene, and police are now appealing for anyone who may be able to identify the rider, or has any more information about the collision, to contact them.

Detective Constable James Byrne, from North Area CID, said: “This was a horrific collision in which a young girl and her mother were left lying on the ground requiring medical treatment.

“We are releasing an image of a motorbike rider that we are very keen to speak to and urge anyone who has further information concerning this individual to get in touch.”

Police have called for any witnesses, particularly those with dash cam footage, or anyone with any other information, to call police on 101 with CAD reference 4066/31JUL.
