A reality tv star is due to face court after facing accusations that he plotted an alleged diamond scam involving five other men.

Lewis Bloor, 29, from Buckhurst Hill, is known for appearing on The Only Way is Essex since 2013 and Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

The 29-year-old is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 22 for conspiracy of fraud.

Joseph Jordon, 26, of Waltham Cross, Simon Akbari, 25, from Loughton, Max Potter, 23, of Enfield, George Walters, 27, from Beckenham and Nathan Wilson, 25, of Brentwood will also appear.

The group of six are accused of duping clients into buying into the diamonds despite knowing they were not a 'legitimate investment opportunity.'

It is said they plotted together between May 2013 and June 2014 “to defraud investors by dishonestly marketing and selling coloured diamonds for investment purposes, knowing those diamonds did not represent a legitimate investment opportunity”.

None of the men have yet entered a plea.
