After all the fun on the hottest late August bank holiday on record in the UK, it's back to reality for many of us - although the fine summer weather is here to stay for at least another day.

Temperatures could hit 31 degrees celcius today with sunshine throughout the day.

It'll be the final heatwave of the week with temperatures returning to the low twenties from tomorrow.

If you are heading out to work, with schools still closed and families away on holidays, it is mainly clear on the roads.

However, there are delays on the M25 - anticlockwise between 17 for Maple Cross down to the M40. Also slow between j20 and j18 for Chorleywood. The A41 is slow approaching j20 for the M25/A41 roundabout from Hemel Hempstead.

Delays anticlockwise too between j25 for Waltham Cross and j24 for Potters Bar.

Some slow traffic too on the North Circular westbound between North Middlesex University Hospital and Powys Lane and too on the North Circular westbound in East Finchley towards the A1 junction.

A good service on all tube lines
