A BODY has been found in the hunt for a missing Hampshire doctor.
Police said that the body of a man has been found during the search missing Dr Peter Betts.
A statement released by Hampshire Police last night said formal identification has not yet taken place but the family of missing Dr Betts, has been informed.
The 76-=year-old was reported missing from his home in Winchester at around midday yesterday.
He was last seen in the Compton Down area of the city.
The police statement added: "We are not treating the death as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the Coroner.
"We would like to thank everyone who helped support our investigation and shared our appeals"
