A man is in hospital after being stabbed early this morning, police have said.

Metropolitan Police say the victim suffered a single stab wound to the leg during reports of a fight in Hertford Road, Enfield at 6.05am on Sunday, October 20.

The man was taken to hospital and his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, and police say they are still searching for “outstanding suspects”.

A spokesperson from Met Police said: “Police were called at 06:05hrs on Sunday, 20 October to reports of a fight in Hertford Road, Enfield.

“Officers and LAS attended, and one male has been taken to hospital with a single stab wound to the leg. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.

“One male has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

“Residents will see officers in the area today as enquiries and searches for outstanding suspects continue.”

The road, which was shut while initial enquiries took place, has now reopened.
