A 19-year-old man has been fatally stabbed outside a Clayhall tower block.

Police were called to reports of a fight outside Owen Water House, Fullwell Avenue, Clayhall, at 10.20pm last night (Tuesday, November 19).

Officers found the victim suffering from stab injuries. They provided first aid before paramedics died but the victim died at the scene.

The Met Police have yet to inform the victim’s family or make any arrests.

Scotland Yard says it is investigating the possibility a fire at a nearby set of garages at a similar time to the stabbing was linked.

A Section 60 order – allowing officers to stop and search indiscriminately – was put in in place for the whole of Redbridge up until 6.30am this morning (Wednesday, November 20).

Anyone with information, pictures or video that could assist police are asked to call 101 ref CAD 9907/19 Nov.
