Book lovers will have to visit another library during essential work at Watford Central Library.
Watford Central Library will be temporarily closed for five days as essential electrical work is carried out between February 3 to February 7.
The planned closure is to “facilitate essential electrical compliance works” at the Library.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council said: “The five-day closure of Watford Library is for remedial works required to ensure the electrical compliance of the building.
“This follows the regular electrical inspection and testing of our buildings to ensure they remain legally compliant and safe to be used by our staff and the public.”
If you need to visit a library during this period, North Watford Library at St Albans Road is just a six-minute drive away and will be open as normal.
Croxley Green Library at Barton Way is slightly further away with an eight-minute drive.
