A MAN has died after a being hit by a Parcel Force lorry on the A4260.

He was walking along Oxford Road, between Adderbury and Deddington, at around 4.05am on Friday morning when he was hit by the articulated lorry.

Emergency first aid was given at the time but the man, who was in his thirties, died at the scene.

The lorry driver was uninjured and no arrests have been made.

The man’s next of kin have been traced and are being supported by an officer.

Police are now appealing for any drivers at the time to come forward.

Investigating officer, PC Julia Stroud of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, based at Bicester, said: “We are carrying out an investigation into this incident in which a man has sadly died.

“We are asking anyone who saw the collision or was traveling on the A4260 at around 4am on Friday morning to please come forward.

“Additionally we would ask anyone who was driving on the road at that time and has a dash-cam to please check for any footage that may be relevant to our investigation.”
