ICE could cause disruption overnight across Hampshire, the Met Office has warned.

A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued for the whole of the county.

The warning is valid from midnight tonight until 10am tomorrow.

The Met Office says there could be some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

There could also be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “A mix of rain and hail showers, with some snow over higher ground, is likely to leave surfaces wet overnight. Surface temperatures are then expected to fall below freezing with icy stretches forming in places.”

According to the Met Office, temperatures in Southampton will 'feel like' -2C overnight.

There's currently a 30 per cent chance of sleet in the city at 8am on Wednesday.
