  • Meanwhile, Waltham Forest now has 443 confirmed cases - 50 more than yesterday's figure. In Redbridge, the overall number of cases stands at 366 - an increase of 47.

  • Dozens more deaths have been announced at hospitals in east London and Essex in the last 24 hours.

  • At Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, there were 12 new deaths announced (although it does not mean the deaths happened in the last 24 hours). This brings the total to 81.

  • At Barts Health Trust - which runs Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone - there have been 16 more deaths, bringing the total to 154. And at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT), there have been three more deaths, bringing the total to 77.

  • In England, there have been 828 more deaths announced, bringing the death toll 6,483. 46 of the 828 patients (aged 35 to 96) had no known underlying health conditions.

  • Some of the 4,000 beds in the new NHS Nightingale hospital in Newham were taken up by Covid-19 patients yesterday evening.

  • Meanwhile Prime Minister Boris Johnson's condition on Tuesday night remained "stable" as he stayed in St Thomas's for "close monitoring", according to Downing Street.
