A man has pleaded guilty to having a knife in a public place following an incident in Harlow last week.
Essex Police received a call shortly before 11pm on Monday, May 18 reporting a man had been seen with a knife and making threats in Orchard Croft.
Officers were at the scene within five minutes and a 30-year-old man was arrested a short time later.
The man was taken taken into custody following the incident.
Matthew Taylor, of Spinning Wheel, Harlow was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Taylor pleaded guilty to the charge at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 20.
He is due to be sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 17.
