The parks, gardens and woodland walks at Hatfield House will reopen to the public from next weekend.

While the stately home remains closed, guests can explore the beautiful grounds from Saturday, June 20.

To ensure social distancing rules can be met, there will be a limited number of tickets available for each day. The ticket system is not timed so guests are welcome to spend the whole day at the park.

Staff hope that the Coach House Kitchen will be able to open with a reduced takeaway menu, in compliance with the latest government guidelines.

Hatfield Park Farm and the play area will remain closed for the time being, while events have been either postponed or cancelled.

Anthony Downs, Estate Director, said: “I know that the whole team at Hatfield are looking forward to welcoming visitors back to Hatfield Park. I would personally like to thank everyone who has sent messages of support or feedback during lockdown when access to the park has been restricted to local passholders.

"Whilst we have decided that Hatfield House will remain closed we hope that this will present a fresh opportunity for people to discover some of the wonderful areas of park and woodland.

"I hope that people will enjoy their visit and be encouraged by knowing the money they spend with us goes back towards helping us conserve and protect Hatfield House and its park for the enjoyment of future generations!”
