EMPLOYERS in the Denbighshire still have time to seek financial support.

Vale of Clwyd MS Ann Jones is urging any businesses that have not already done so to contact Denbighshire County Council about their eligibility for for the £680 million emergency programme.

Businesses with a rateable value of £51,000 have until Tuesday, March 30 to apply for a grant.

Mrs Jones said: "I am delighted that many business have applied for and received grants to enable businesses to continue to operate during the lockdown period."

The latest figures - released on Monday 15 - show that more than 56,000 grants have been paid to companies across the retail, leisure and hospitality sector across Wales.

These businesses are also benefitting from rates relief through the £1.4bn package announced in March.

Mrs Jones added: "It is crucial that the Welsh Government does all that it can to support businesses.

"I would appeal to employers to contact Denbighshire County Council to apply for grants before the end date of 30th June.”
