THOUGH the weather has recently taken a turn for the worse, Sussex was blessed with some scorching days in June.
So we feel we have to take some credit for making this month’s Camera Club competition theme “heat”.
Our loyal photographers certainly pulled through, submitting more than 70 photos.
It was a hard choice to decide which was best, but there can only be one winner.
This month’s top snapper is Annette Mary Radford for perfectly capturing a lazy day out in the sun. Her fantastic photo gets her a £50 prize.
But she had some tough competition as our other shortlisted photos show.
Sue Barnett’s shot of the i360 shooting up towards the sun looks like something out of a sci-fi film. Meanwhile, Michael Bingham’s photo of a photo of the attraction shows some creative thinking.
The stunning sunset on Lancing beach captured by Rachel Faichnie is certainly easy on the eye.
And who could not feel warm inside looking at Mike Melville-Reed’s photo of a blazing chimnea?
The theme for July’s competition is “free”. To enter, join the Argus Camera Club at facebook.com/cameraclubargus and submit your photo to the competition thread by midnight on August 1.
