POPULAR bus services are set to resume in the Carlisle area today.

Reays Coaches has confirmed that its 64A and 74/75 services, which connect the villages of Great Corby, Scotby, Wetheral, Cotehill, Cumwhinton and Dalston with Carlisle will return, but with a new temporary timetable.

There have been some alterations to the regular service and passengers are being encouraged to check the new timetables to avoid any inconvenience.

For example the changes to the 64A service, between Brackenleigh and Asda, Kingstown, include journeys from the city centre to Asda not operating at 7.40am and 3.40pm, though on the latter the section from The Beeches to the city centre will operate, starting at 3.12pm.

Other cancellations on this route include the 6.12pm Beeches to city centre service and the 6.14pm bus from Asda to the city centre.

On the 74/75 route all trips from Dalston to the city centre will operate but journeys from the city centre to Cotehill at 5.04pm and 6.04pm will not take place, among others.
