The parents of a teenage girl who was killed after being hit by a car have paid tribute to their "beautiful" daughter.
Victoria Carson, 13, was involved in a collision with a car in Longmore Avenue, Barnet, on Monday, June 29, at 9.35pm.
She was rushed to a north London hospital but died shortly before 11pm that night.
Her 15-year-old sister was at the scene when the collision occurred. She was shocked but uninjured.
In a statement, Gary and Roxanna Carson said the family has been left "devastated at the loss of our beautiful daughter".
They said: "Victoria was loved dearly by so many of her friends with whom she shared many interests, especially caring for cats and playing tennis.
"We will deeply miss Victoria's smile, her laugh and her energy, but our beautiful, generous daughter will forever remain in our hearts.”
The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
A 41-year-old woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8246 9820.
