A LARGE scale cannabis farm was discovered in Hall i'th' Wood ­— the second to be busted in the borough within 24 hours.

Police officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant at a property on Pimlott Road yesterday afternoon ­— and found the electricity meter had also been bypassed, which they said put other residents risk.

The Bolton News:

Officers from GMP Bolton North said: "Inside the property, officers found that it had been converted into a cannabis farm. The plants have all been removed and will be destroyed. The electricity meter had also been bypassed, putting other residents at risk of fire.

"Two men were found inside the property.

"A 32-year-old and a 36-year-old were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and taken into police custody. They have since been released pending further investigation.

Earlier the same day police arrested a man discovering cannabis farm was discovered in Westhoughton.

Police officers from Bolton West Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant at a property on Chorley Road.

Officers found 300 plants at various stages of growth and also discovered an electricity meter had been bypassed.
