Hello, my name’s Splinter and this is my friend Shredder. We’re a pair of two-year-old boys looking for a home together. We came to the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) in July when our owner became too ill to look after us.
We’re a friendly duo and although I’m probably the braver of the two of us, we can both still be a bit shy of new people. That’s why we’re looking for a patient, confident owner with experience of handling nervous rabbits who’ll let us settle in at our own pace.
We’re used to living outdoors and having the opportunity to roam around the garden and even pop indoors if we’re feeling very daring. We’d love to have a similar set-up in our new home as that’s what we’re used to.

We need hay as part of a balanced diet and love vegetables such as carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, curly kale, peas and swede, and the occasional fruit treat.
Like many rabbits, we’re most comfortable on the ground as when we’re picked up, being so high off the ground makes us scared.

We rabbits are very affectionate and can bond closely with our humans. We’re great family pets. We can live in a family with children of any age but, at least to start with, an adult would need to do any handling.
