Police are investigating after a man in his 30s was "slashed" near St Mary Cray High Street.
Officers were called to reports of an assault in the vicinity of Sandway Road at around 2.30pm on Sunday (August 9).
An air ambulance landed nearby to treat the victim.
A spokesman from Met Police said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 2.26pm on Sunday, August 9, to reports of an assault in the vicinity of Sandway Road in Orpington.
"Officers attended and found a man, aged in his mid-30s, with slash injuries. He was taken to a south London hospital in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
