Police recovered a suspected stolen Transit van within 24 hours of the crime being reported.
Officers were informed of a stolen transit on Sunday, August 9.
The next day, two Police Community Support Officers found a transit show false number plates.
The vehicle was taken for examination.
In a Facebook post, Essex Police Harlow said: "Harlow police were informed about a stolen Transit on 9th Aug 2020. PCSO's Moore and Gibson have hunted around Harlow and within 24 hours of the report, the transit was found showing false number plates.
"Van has been seized and will be examined before being returned."
