BRIGHTON'S new coronavirus testing centre opened its doors to members of the public this morning.
People joined a socially distanced queue to be tested at the new walk-through site in East Brighton Park.
The site began operating at 10am and within half an hour more than 15 people could be seen waiting to enter.
Tests must be pre-booked on the NHS website.
Contractors were given just 48 hours notice before constructing the site on Monday.
The site features about 15 individual pods where Brighton and Hove residents can get tested.

The introduction of the new testing centre follows the closure of the Amex site, and resulting "testing fiasco".
This saw the city's residents drive as far as Wales in order to find out if they had the virus.
