Update: Man arrested in connection with Watford stabbing
A woman is in hospital after she was stabbed in Watford this morning.
Police were called to a block of flats in Granville Road in the town centre and found a woman who had sustained suspected knife wounds.
She has been taken to hospital for treatment.
Police say the attacker is known to the victim but officers have been unable to track him down.
A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 10.20am this morning to a report of an injured woman at a block of flats in Granville Road, Watford.
"Upon arrival, they found a woman who had sustained suspected knife wounds. She has been taken to hospital for treatment, though her injuries are not thought to be life changing or life threatening.
"The suspect had fled the scene.
"The police helicopter was deployed as part of the search for the outstanding suspect, who is known to the victim. Officers are conducting extensive enquiries to locate him.
"There is not perceived to be any threat to the wider public.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting ISR 216 of September 23."
