Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a terraced block of flats this morning.
Part of a three-roomed flat on the first floor of the building in North Hill, Hornsey, was damaged.
Three people managed to escape before the emergency services arrived, and one man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The London Fire Brigade received a call at 8.07am, and the fire was brought under control by 8.55am.
Fire crews from Hornsey and Finchley attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
