A former police station is up for auction for £1.6 million next month.
Epping Police station, which was closed in 2016, is up for sale – again.
The site was sold last year to an unknown bidder for £1.5 million.
Planning permission to build five flats on the first and second floors. four one-bedroom and one two-bedroom, ha since been granted by Epping Forest District Council.
The High Street building, which still has cells in the basement, will once again be available to purchase, this time at auction, with Strettons on December 15, with a guide price of £1.6 million.
The police station was one of many in the district to be closed, including Ongar and Waltham Abbey police stations, since 2015, when Essex Police announced it must make savings of more than £60 million by 2019/20.
