A court has shut down a Leytonstone warehouse after it was used to hold two illegal raves.
Police discovered around 300 people at a party inside a commercial unit on Joseph Ray Road on November 21.
The unit had been broken into without the knowledge of its owners and the London Fire Brigade were called to force open the locked doors.
Waltham Forest Council’s anti-social behaviour team applied for a closure order in the hopes of preventing any more events taking place inside. The closure order will last for three months.

This is the second venue to have a recurring problem with raves on Joseph Ray Road this year. In June, a venue used for three such events was shut down.
On November 25, a rave organiser who threw a party for hundreds on Argyll Avenue in Leyton was fined £10,000 under new Covid laws.
Abhishek Beltharia, of Thornton Heath in Croydon, organised a rave on August 31 and, when officers visited the venue again on September 8, appeared to be planning another.
Deputy council leader Clyde Loakes said there would be “serious consequences” for “anyone who flouts the rule in the face of this global pandemic and endangers public health”.
