A 75-YEAR-OLD cyclist has died after a fatal smash in Carterton.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision which took place on Saturday.
At about 3.05pm a red Nissan Qashqai, a black Volvo XC40 and a cyclist were in a collision on the A361 in the direction from Burford to Lechlade.
The cyclist, a 75-year-old man from Lechlade, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
The driver of the Nissan and Volvo were uninjured.
Investigating officer Sergeant Darren Brown of the Joint Roads Policing Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Thames Valley Police said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died following this collision.
“We would like to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward along with anyone who saw either the cars or cyclist before the collision.
“We would also like any drivers in the area at the time of the collision to please check dash-cam footage and share with us anything which captures the cars or cyclist involved.
