Roads in Enfield are set to be temporarily closed while roadworks are carried out from this weekend.

The traffic restrictions are detailed by Enfield Council in notices published in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent.

Green Street, between Jute Lane and Brimsdown Avenue, is set to be shut overnight on Sunday and Monday, as and when directed by signage.

The closure will be in place from 10pm to 5am each day and traffic will be diverted via Green Street, Hertford Road, Nags Head Road and Mollison Avenue.

At these times there will also be no entry into Green Street from Brimsdown Avenue and Jute Lane.

Motorists will be prevented from driving along of section of Linden Way, as and when directed by signage, for an estimated 24 days from Monday.

The closure will be in place between the junctions with Charter Way and Avenue Road.

During this time the diversion route will be via Avenue Road, Chase Side and Chelmsford Road.

From the same day Station Parade is set to be closed for five days at its junction with Betjamin Court and Cockfosters Road, as and when signs are in place.

Access will be maintained to the residents of Betjamin Court via the access road fronting No. 20 Station Parade (Taverners Lodge).

Also on April 26, Ingersoll Road, at its junction with Hertford Road, is also due to be closed to traffic for an estimated five days.

The alternative route will be via Hertford Road, Riley Road, Elmore Road, Ingersoll Road and vice versa.
