ITALIAN football boot brand Pantofola d'Oro have created a one-off artistic design to celebrate Rangers' 55th title success this season.

A collaboration with Greenock-based artist Craig Black will see the unique red, white and blue boots gifted to boss Steven Gerrard.

Black is known for his acrylic fusion paint–pour technique and he was the typographer and creator behind the new Rangers typeface as the club launched their brand evolution last summer.

The 32-year-old used the Pantofola d'Oro ‘Lazzarini’ boot to create the bold design and the finished article will be given to Gerrard to commemorate his achievement in leading Rangers to the Premiership title.

Glasgow Times:

Black said: "Since I was a little boy I’ve been a fan of Rangers Football Club, and it’s been an honour to create these football boots as a gift for Steven Gerrard and everyone at Rangers Football Club, I’m delighted Pantofola D’Oro made this possible.

Glasgow Times:

“As an artist, it’s amazing to collaborate with such incredible brands and to be able to produce this unique art installation in this record-breaking year was a dream come true.”

Pantofola d’Oro was established in Italy in 1886 and their factory is still based in their home town of Ascoli.

Glasgow Times:

The project has been titled 'The Fusion Series - Rangers Football Club' and Pantofola d'Oro CEO, Kim Williams, said: "It was great to team up with Craig, such a talented artist, to honour the fantastic achievements of Rangers FC; the result is a pair of unique Pantofola D’Oro football boots by Craig Black for such a special occasion.”
