The M40 was shut between junction 2 and 3 after police, firefighters and ambulances attend an incident involving a silver car. 

The incident happened going northbound from Beaconsfield to Loudwater.

All lanes have now reopened but the incident has caused a backlog of traffic.

An update from Bucks Fire said says after establishing that no-one was trapped the crew from Beaconsfield fire station handed the incident over to South Central Ambulance.

The update reads: "One appliance and crew from Beaconsfield attended. No-one was trapped. The incident was left with South Central Ambulance Service."

Our reporter Stephanie Wareham who drive past the incident said: "There was a silver car that was sideways facing the grass verge and I think there was a silver minibus that was involved as well.

"There was one fire engine, loads of police and there were ambulances coming as well."
