Temporary street closures for roadworks are set to cause to disruption to motorists in Enfield and Haringey.

Notices from Haringey and Enfield councils in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent detail the extent of the closures and other restrictions that may be put in place while the works are carried out.

A three-week closure of a section of Goat Lane EN1 is due to start on Monday for utility works.

This will prohibit traffic from entering or proceeding along the road, between its junctions with Garnault Road and Forty Hill, for 22 days.

Elsewhere on Monday, Halifax Road EN2, between the boundaries of Nos. 2/4 and 10/12, is set to be shut for three days, also for utility works.

Another temporary closure due to start on Monday is in Berkshire Gardens N13 for resurfacing works.

This will shut the road between its junctions with Wolves Lane and Green Lane for five days, but the works are only due to take place between 8am and 6pm each day.

A two-night closure of Bridport Road N18, at its junction with Gloucester Road, is due to take effect on August 14. This closure is due to be in place from 12.01am until 4am.

A five-day closure of Lowden Road N9, between the boundaries of Nos. 73/75 and 85/87, is set to start on August 19 for utility works.

Several roads in Haringey are also set to be affected by closures for a variety of works starting at the end of this month.

Nightingale Lane and Brook Road N8 are due to be shut to vehicles for more than one month from August 25 for construction work.

The closure will be in place from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and is due to last until October 3.

A programme of sewer cover replacement works are due to lead restrictions in several roads in Haringey from 9.30am to 3pm on August 27.

The junction of Baronet Road and Lansdowne Road is due to be temporarily closed at this time, as is the junction of Chalgrove Road with Lansdowne Road, while Umfreville Road will be shut at its junction with Wightman Road. Umfrevillle Road will also become a two-way running from Woollaston Road.
