A new Aldi store is set to open this month with the help of a Team GB.
The new Haringey store at Arena Shopping Park in Green Lanes will open later this month on October 28.
It will be run by store manager Fabio Belinghieri, along with a team of over 40 colleagues from the local community.
For the opening, hockey bronze medallist Sally Walton will cut the ribbon at the door.
The store manager said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Haringey.
“It’s set to be a special day and having Olympic hero Sally Walton join us will make it a morning to remember.”
Talking about attending the opening, Walton said: “I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store, it will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of Team GB.”
The store is also calling on local charities and food banks to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the community.
Aldi will be open from 8am to 10pm from Mondays to Saturdays and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
