Haringey mums, looking to get back to work, are being urged to consider a career as a firefighter.
Women from across the borough attended a recruitment drive at Campsbourne School in Hornsey on Monday to find out more about becoming a female firefighter.
The event, hosted by London Fire Brigade along with social enterprise group Women Like Us, was also attended by Hornsey and Wood Green MP Lynne Featherstone.
She said: "Its great that Women's Like Us and the London Fire Brigade are working together with local schools to encourage women to work in the fire service. Today's event has been a fun way to show women in Haringey that there are challenging and interesting job opportunities available to women wanting to return to work."
Children from Campsbourne School got the opportunity to take a closer look at the fire engine which was bought to the event.
