South east London is a great place to live - but some residents are looking for specific things to make it that bit better.

We asked south east Londoners to have their say on what they want to see built in the area and a range of responses followed.

Turns out News Shopper readers want anything from a Costco, to more hospitals and swimming pools, and a bridge going straight from the south east of the capital to a different country.

One person wanted things for young people's entertainment - including a roller skating or ice rink, cinemas, swimming pools, soft plays and youth clubs.

Another wants a "teleportation device so we can be teleported somewhere nicer".

But, apart from that, we've made a list of some of the best responses on Facebook:

  • A boot camp
  • A flume swimming pool
  • A better rail network
  • More hospices
  • Council houses
  • Homes for the homeless
  • Bakerloo extension to Lewisham and Bromley
  • Cycle lanes
  • More pedestrian crossings
  • Hospitals
  • Schools
  • A spaceport to launch rockets into space
  • Houses with gardens
  • A bridge to other countries
  • A London Underground Tube network that linkes with the other underground tube stations
  • Affordable housing for first-time buyers

So, when are we going to space on a rocket from south east London?
