Motorists are set to face disruption due to the temporary closure of streets in Enfield and Haringey for roadworks, starting from this week.

Notices from Enfield and Haringey councils in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent detail the extent of the closures and other restrictions that may be required until the works are completed.

Part of Alma Road EN3 is set to be closed overnight on Thursday for utility works.

The road will be shut between its junctions with South Street and Scotland Green Road North, as and when directed by signs, from 10pm on Thursday to 5am Friday.

The diversion route will be via Alma Road, Green Street, Hertford Road, Nags Head Road, Scotland Green Road and South Street.

Electrical works are set to close the junction of Osier Crescent N10 and Coppetts Road next week.

This will be in place from Monday to Friday and the works will also involve the suspension of parking outside Nos. 98 to 114 Coppetts Road, as well as no waiting and loading.

Jackson Lane N6 is due to be shut at its junction with Southwood Lawn and at the side of No. 51 for more than a month to enable a sewer to be repaired.

The closure is due to start on January 31 and last until March 13. Parking, waiting and loading will also be prohibited in the location while the work is carried out.

Repairs to a service pipe relay are scheduled to shut the junction of Ethleldene Avenue N8 and Park Avenue from January 31 to February 4.

Parking will also be suspended outside Nos. 22 to 12 and 9 to 19 Etheldene Avenue in addition to no waiting and loading restrictions.

Twyford Avenue N2 is set to be shut from to vehicles from outside No. 2C to No 4 next month for the installation of a new water main and reinstating.

The closure is due to be in place from February 18 to February 26 and parking, waiting and loading will also be prevented at this time.
