There's not much quite as satisfying as enjoying a roast on a cold winter's day.

Sometimes though, the effort required to cook a big meal for the whole family and tackle the clean up afterwards, is just too much.

With this in mind, we've turned to Tripadvisor and compiled a list of the top pubs in Cornwall serving up a cracking roast dinner, according to the ratings and reviews in the travel website.

Staff made us very welcome, especially Millie who made us feel that nothing was too much trouble and her customer service was exceptional. Norman the dog added a homely touch and was a lovely added extra. Will be returning on our next holiday, thank you!"

Another said: "This is our third visit to this brilliant pub the food is exceptional, on this visit we were a party of 10 always harder to prepare and serve but the food was all wonderful and very reasonably priced, I am always surprised that it isn't crowded to the rafters, can't recommend it enough, Cornwalls best kept secret."
